How the queue treats healers
When the queue builds a match, healers are split between the two teams as evenly as the groups allow, and an extra healer can wait for the next match while someone else takes their place. A party always plays together, so if you queue as a party, your healers are your own choice.
2v2
- Healer + damage: the safest start. Pick a damage dealer with an interrupt and a stun to protect the healer. Healers: Discipline Priest, Holy Paladin, Restoration Druid, Restoration Shaman.
- Double damage: wins by bursting one target during a stun. Needs two specs whose control chains (one stun, then another category, since the same category diminishes).
3v3
- Two damage + healer: the classic. Melee + caster gives you both pillar pressure and ranged control.
- Bring at least two interrupts on the team so the enemy healer can’t free-cast.
